With the help of Aidit Alfian, she manages to bring the best out her and from what started as experimental 3rd album. The team start to work on Elyana destined personal sound in “Jadi Diriku’, a pop rock indie album which suited Elyana style and personality perfectly.

Personally I begin to relate to Elyana music and style starting her “Bicara Mata Ini” album. However the 3rd album didn’t manage to make me purchase her album since some not all of her songs are edgy as I thought it will be. Furthermore, the some of the songs such as “missed call” although catchy but in terms of respect from the industry, she need to have credible song.

With the release of “Jadi Diriku’ I instantly fell in love with all of her new songs.Which I shall conclude as the best local album ever produced this year, worth buying with a full guarantee that every fans of Elyana will beginning to like her even more and more new fans will respect and admire her. And of course im sure this album is the best album from Elyana, in terms of commercial success and respect from the industry in terms of songs quality and credibility.

For starters, the 8 pages cover booklet are all printed in high quality oil printed paper, with poprock and some gothic style touches in the concept. The dress, make up are all representing the whole album concept, edgy, funky, emo a lil bit of everything within the pop rock scope.

The first song, is the radio hit ‘ Kalis Rindu’ 2nd single from “Jadi Diriku”. Unique simple words which tells about missing someone. The lyrics are simple and catchy “ Ku semakin pendam pilu, pendam rindu, hingga kau menjelma” Elyana manage to perfectly delivery this song according to the retro feel. This song totally a juara lagu candidate.

“molek” is a fun song which celebrate about ones hope of having a perfect soulmate. “setiap kali ku baca hikayat cinta agung, tragedy komedi aku terasa, seolah ia tercipta, menceritakan, tentang kisah kita” , “terlalu mahu selalu, dekat denganmu, saling denganku, cemburu, resah dan rindu, bergaur rasa, bila kau tiada”. Cute catchy chorus. The song are rich with guitar and drums hook, you will fall in love with it the right moment you listen to it.This song deserve a juara lagu trophy.

“Niat 2008” Well few years ago, I do remember Elyana “Niat” phase, with cloudy smoke video clip, and she wearing turtle neck sweater, trying to look sweet and cute and trying to outdo siti nurhaliza in balada category. Well Niat 2008 has trash all that sweet swaying hearts ballad, it has been recomposed with edgy sound, with drums, guitar hook. It’s a slow rock version of niat. However the song still maintain it soppy lyrics. Personally I just hope they just scrapped this remake version and make way for a totally new song. I wonder why they put in this album again as remake?

“Kasih Berkalih Tuju”, track number 4, is a fast paced song(thank you!). With heavy drums, Every boys will surely gonna love this song. Esp to the drummer. Hey probably some boys will not be ashame to jam to Elyana’s song cause seriously its very good. Few of my guy friends who are into rock, fell in love with this song the first time they listen to it. The lyric can be scrapped off if you don’t want to pay any attention to it, however the lyric are not bad either. Love this song, eventough I actually didn’t really get the lyrics.hehehe.

“Hati Bentuk Cinta” Elyana delivery will hook you up to love this song. A lil bif of emo, I actually don’t really get the song meaning, however the it’s a totally song that will make you to sing along and the chorus will wont stop playing in your mind. “hati bentuk cinta ku menunggumu, hati bentuk cinta hanya untukmu, hati bentuk cinta ku kekasihmu, hati bentuk cinta kau kurindu, Hanya kau saja cinta, hanya kau ku damba selama-lama dan selalunya” addictive!

“Bukannya Satelit” LOVE This ballad. IT has some UK indie vibe to it. Elyana delivery are perfect in playing with the mood. “jangan begitu…seksa dirimu…” The song talks about admiring someone secrectly with fear of being honest in avoid to being hurt. “jelas sudah engkau telah jatuh hati, masih jua engkau cuba nak sembunyi, jangan begitu, seksa dirimu” wow. I totally connected to this song. It reminded me about me dealing with my crush few years ago. Layan to the max. Hands to the air.closing my mind while I drowned myself into the chorus “kita manusia, bukannya satelit, mampu terpulau, mengorbit angkasa, pastinya kita perlukan sentuhan, jiwa ke jiwa” totally brilliant. This song is indeed one of the best song with best rich composition. Totally a juara lagu material.

“Ku Jadi Teman.” Honestly this song probably a tribute to JROCK sound. In fact I do heard few lines where it sounded as if Elyana singing in Japanese band, esp the chorus. “berilah ku sedikit ruang, untuk jadi diriku, tak bererti kelainanku, tak memungkinkan ku jadi teman”Obviously it has add some creative variety of songs selection for this album. Thus I cant help myself but love and to not skip this song in every listen. In fact the album titled “jadi diriku” is taken from one of the lines in this song to represent the whole concept of this album.Layan!

“Jambatan Mana”this song is composed by Tam, spider. Not a bad song either. If you don’t really connect with the lyrics,you will keep listening for the drums and guitars composition. The lyrics athough doesn’t make sense it still able to keep you hook.

“Syukur Kusedar”. This is the 3rd ballad. Elyana singing from the very low note and climb her note as the song goes on. The song gets more interesting when it enter second verse,”baru kusedar kenapa tercipta kesepian, kenapa hidup harus berpasangan, kerana tuhan mahu menyatakan, cintaNya kepada kita insan”. Chikni chameli dance video download. Deep? Yeah. Once you to start to realize the meaning of this song and think it deeper meaning of the song, you surely weep in as Elyana sing “makin ku pejam,makin kusedih, tangis ku tangis, berlarutan.sandaran asmara, hanyalah harapan, esokku dambakan disisimu tak lagi ku angankan” “syukur ku sedar sebelum bercerai nyawa badan,sempatlah diri buat perhitungan,janganlah pulang dengan kekesalan,cintaNya tak pernah kuagungkan” Wow. RESPECT. A Song with a great message. This song is indeed another juara lagu candidate. Fulfilling and respectful.

“Kau atau aku(main tarik tali). This song is the first single from “Jadi diriku”. A massive hit, where every kids and adults able to sing along to the chorus”Main tarik tali, malu mahu memulakan,luahan hati kita, main tarik tali, masih menanti siapa mulakan dulu”. This song is can be relate to almost everyone who has been in a hide and seek game of love. A proven hit song, which also deserve a juara lagu trophy.

Wow, this album is definitely a must have to all Elyana fans and a worth of purchase album for those who just started to getting to know Elyana’s music. This album is a must have in getting to know Elyana’s music. With this promising high quality album, I really hope that this album deserve a well deserve recognition from Malaysian music industry and also will be able to be translated into sales in the hope of enabling Elyana to continue producing more high quality album.
