How To Get Source 2 Hammer
Source 2, the successor to Source, was announced by Valve at the Game Developers Conference in March 2015. There, Valve stated that it would be free to use for developers, with support for the Vulkan graphical API, as well as using a new in-house physics engine called Rubikon.

Source 2 is a video game engine developed by Valve as the successor to the original Source engine. The engine was announced in 2015, with the first game to use it, Dota 2, being ported from the original engine that same year. Since then, Valve's Artifact, Dota Underlords, and Half-Life Alyx have all been made with the engine.
History[edit]
Plans for a successor to the original Source engine began following the release of Half-Life 2: Episode Two in 2007.[1] Source 2 was first made available to the public via Steam Workshop tools for Dota 2 in 2014 before it was officially announced at the Game Developers Conference in March 2015,[2] with Valve stating that their intent for it was to allow for content to be created more efficiently.[1][3][4][5] At the time of announcement, Valve stated that it would support Vulkan graphical API and use a new in-house physics engine called Rubikon, which would replace the need for Havok.[6][7][8]Gabe Newell, president of Valve, said that the company were prioritizing the development of their own games before they would release the engine and its software development kit to the public as a means of ensuring the highest quality for developers; adding that they were intending to make the engine free to use for game developers as long as the game is published on Valve's Steam service.[2][9][10]
In June 2015, Valve announced that the entirety of Dota 2 would be ported over to Source 2 in an update called Dota 2 Reborn.[11][12][13][14]Reborn was first released to the public as an opt-in beta update that same month before officially replacing the original client in September 2015, making it the first game to use the engine.[15][16][17][18] Source 2 has also been used for Valve's Artifact and Dota Underlords, with the engine being ported to support Android and iOS for the latter.[19][20] The engine also supports the creation of games in virtual reality, being used in SteamVR Home, the Robot Repair tech demo within The Lab, and Half-Life: Alyx.[21][22]

Play Hexen II with the Hammer of Thyrion source port
Hexen II was originally made for Windows 95, but it is difficult to get the game working on modern PCs. Before you're going to spend time figuring out how, there's a simple solution. A source port is available for many operating systems. The project is called Hammer of Thyrion. We've tested with HoT-1.5.9 on a 64 bits Windows 10 PC. Works like a charm.
So, what's the fastest way to get the game working on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista or XP?
Basic needs
- A decent graphics card
- The original Hexen II game files pak0.pak and pak1.pak, from either the original CD or a Hexen II installation
- Don't you have the original Hexen II CD? Buy your copy on Steam!
- For the Portal of Praevus (PoP) mission, you additionaly need the pak3.pak game file from the original PoP CD
- The Hammer of Thyrion game files
Installation of Hammer of Thyrion
- Download Hammer of Thyrion files (in a zip file) either for 32 bits or 64 bits Windows systems.
- Copy the content of the zip file to a folder of choice, for example c:games. In this example you will end up with c:gameshexen2-1.5.x.
- Copy the Hexen II game files pak0.pak and pak1.pak into the data1 folder, in this example c:gameshexen2-1.5.xdata1. Location of the game files:
- If you have the original CD, the game files are in the folder CD:INSTALLHEXEN2data1.
- If you have an installed game, the game files are in the data1 folder.
- Update the game files to version 1.11 if necessary by double clicking the h2patch.exe application in the Hammer of Thyrion folder, in this example c:gameshexen2-1.5.xh2patch.exe.
Start and configure the game
- Start the game by double clicking glh2.exe in the Hammer of Thyrion folder, in this example c:gameshexen2-1.5.xglh2.exe.
- Change the screen resolution and color depth (options - video modes)
- Change the OpenGL settings (options - OpenGL features)
Hexen II Mission Pack: Portal of Praevus
Portal of Praevus can also be played with the Hammer of Thyrion source port. Installation is very simple:
- You have installed the Hexen II and Hammer of Thyrion files as described above
- Copy the pak3.pak file from the CD:InstallDataportals folder of the original installation CD, into the Portals folder of your Hexen II/Hammer of Thyrion installation folder, in this example c:gameshexen2-1.5.xportals.
To be able to play the mission pack, you'll have to use the -portals parameter when starting the glh2.exe file. For that, you need to create and edit a shortcut to the glh2.exe file:
ૐ Full On Psy Trance Progressive Set Mix 2020👽(Ace Ventura, Egorythmia, Gaudium) ૐ - Duration: 1:00:06. SourVision Psy ॐ Recommended for you. Дальнобойщики 3 кряк ключ.
- In this example, the game files are in the folder c:gameshexen2-1.5.x
- Right click on the glh2.exe file and choose create shortcut
- Right click on the created shortcut, choose rename, replace Shortcut with Portal of Praevus and press enter
- Right click again on the created shortcut and choose properties
- Edit the target field and add -portals, in this example the target will be c:gameshexen2-1.5.xglh2.exe -portals
- Click ok
- Start the game by double clicking the shortcut
- To play Portal of Praevus, choose New game
- To play the original Hexen II game, choose Old game
